Child Employment Laws

Home

Darlington Borough Council is responsible for enforcing the Child Employment laws within our area. The employer of any school-age child is required to apply for a work permit before the child starts work.

Please note that a school reference is required as part of the permit application process and permits will only be issued to pupils with a good attendance record.
